Recent Death on Everest Underscores the Dangers of

Phoenix, Ariz., June 21, 2010 – Irion Books announces the release of Murder on Elbrus, the third bookin the Summit Murder Mystery Series just as news breaks globally regarding the death of a British climber.
On June 2, British climber, Peter Kinloch, was abandoned on Mount Everest. Kinloch
complained on sudden blindness 1,000 feet after the team began their descent from the summit.
Officials believe this was caused by a brain hemorrhage.

Irion Books Launches First Installment of Summit Murder
Mystery Series
Phoenix, Ariz., January 11, 2010 – Irion Books today announced the release of Murder on Everest and
Abandoned on Everest—the first two books in the Summit Murder Mystery series. Co‐authored by
Charles G. Irion and Ronald J. Watkins, the series explores murders set at the peaks of each of the highest
mountains on the world’s seven continents. The author has visited more than 60 countries and was inspired
to pen Murder on Everest after his own 1987 expedition to Everest. Murder on Everest is the newest release
from Irion Books, which launched in 2007 with its acclaimed Hell Series.
